I didn’t realize it was out already until I started hearing kudos from subscribers.
I’ve also been getting a number of questions asking after patterns pictured in the article. Since it’s evidently not clear, let me just reiterate: All the patterns you’ve seen in the article and most of the ones you can see on this blog (except those for which I expressly say otherwise) will be published in the book. The article in Interweave was Great! I had only heard about double knitting before in a vague way. I read the whole article and just downloaded two patterns. The falling blocks hat is the coolest thing I’ve seen in a long time and I hope it will win the hat category at the fair next year! Of course, I’ll have to learn to double knit first…but I believe in learning by doing..so I’m going to knit the four winds hat as a first project and then knit the falling blocks and hope it wins a blue.
Thanks for the great patterns and instructions. I’m so glad you wrote out how to do the cast on because with dial up Internet, I can’t view videos.

Great article! So nice to see all the wonderful things you have going on. Having not seen you since high school I was very surprised to see your article in the most recent IK. I’ve been knitting for years now but have just gotten into double knitting and seeing all that you have done is very inspiring.
Congratulations on the IK article! I especially liked your explanation of using more than the standard two colors. I love your designs.
Thanks for the great article. I’m anticipating a move to Colorado so this technique is perfect and timely, so many hats and mittens to knit! Now I just need to figure out how to transfer the fiddlehead mittens pattern from helloyarn.com to a double knit tam. Thanks again.
I really am glad that your article was published in IN knits. Double knitting looks like so much fun. I have been looking something that incorporates color and warmth. My children will all be getting hats for their backpacking trips. I have signed up for notification for your book. Can’t wait to add it to my library.

Exciting news in IK that you are writing a book (I signed up to be notified). I’ve been a fan of your work for years on Ravelry, and I love to double knit. I can’t wait to find out how to not only double knit but double knit in two patterns and three or four colors as well!

I subscribe to IK in New Zealand, and my Fall copy arrived on Friday. I was delighted to read your article and hear of the forthcoming book, as I’m booked into a double-knitting workshop in Napier (New Zealand) at the end of the month. Will try your exercise beforehand, so that I get some idea of what I’ll be doing on the day!
You wanted to know who came here after reading your article in IK. I love double-knitting. I’m peachymelba on Ravelry and I’ve done a couple of scarves using that method. I also practiced making a little bag with seed stitch stripes. I hope the book comes out soon! I’m so looking forward to some different techniques.

Yet another person directed to your site from IK. I’ve done some double knitting in the past, but what really caught my eye was the mention that you live in Boston and game. Also that you have a cat. Also that you’re teaching workshops at Mind’s Eye Yarns, which is all of three blocks from where I live. Way to go!

I am ordered the book ! I have ben making the double knit hats for 6 or 7 years now and love where you are taking it .I just gave 17 hats to the school ,the double knit is great for our alaska winters.
